OUR PURPOSE- Vision

Providing quality training that offers educational options to students through:

Career orientated training programmes

Innovative programme delivery to suit their individual learning style

Programmes that have sustainable industry relevance

Pathways to further training and/or career advancement

ILP's name was derived from the words Innovative Learning Programme and this still reflects our intent to deliver education and training in a way that suits the clients needs and aspirations. Registered as a private training establishment by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority under the provisions of the Education Act 1989 and its subsequent amendments.

ILP Education & Training Ltd (ILP) is a PTE established in 1992 in Taranaki with further accredited sites in Marlborough, Hawkes Bay and Taupo. The primary focus for ILP has been the training of those wishing to enter or up skill within the primary production areas of Agriculture and Horticulture. Training in the Horticulture strand of Viticulture has become over the past five years a clearly identified specialised strength of ILP.

Branded as Onsite Education in 2003 to reflect ILP’s ethos of providing relevant and quality training where it is required. In 2002 ILP was approached by the Horticulture ITO to establish and deliver a training programme to the Vineyard workers in Blenheim and those about to enter the industry as there were no programmes being offered by local Marlborough providers.

Horticulture training is concentrated on the Viticulture strand, with on average 70 Domestic students annually enrolled on the National Certificate in Horticulture Level 4 Advanced Viticulture programme.

The delivery by Onsite Education of the viticulture programme has extensive industry support and has developed over the five years since its inception into a highly recognised measure of vineyard workers capabilities, particularly within the Marlborough region although this is now expanding to the Hawkes Bay, Gisborne and Nelson areas.

All members of the tutorial team have attained managerial positions within the Viticulture or Agriculture industries both nationally and globally which, combined with relevant industry Degrees has ensured that our students are receiving relevant and quality industry training.
